introduction

Vitreous enamelling
Vitreous enamel was applied in the Middle East before the beginning of our era. There is proof that the Chinese and Japanese enamelled art objects thousands of years ago. After that, some alternative techniques were developed in Egypt, Persia and Syria.
Since the 19th century enamel has been known for its resistance against corrosion, high temperature, acid and alkali. Besides that, enamel is easy to clean.
Ferro Techniek applies enamel as a glass layer on metal sheets, cast iron and stainless steel. Our vitreous enamelled products are fired at high temperature (700 – 960 °C). This chemical unique inseparable compound offers a number of significant advantages, like extremely corrosion, acid and alkali resistant, thermal shock at elevated temperatures and an easy-to-clean surface.
We are specialised in colour and matt enamelling of which the formulae are developed and continuously renewed in our own enamel laboratory. All product specifications are tuned to their specific uses. We consider it a challenge to come to unique solutions for specialist requirements and have consequently developed a keen interest in the enamelling of a wide range of appliance parts.
